Australian Open 2017 just got sweeter as it joins forces with global ice-cream player Häagen-Dazs to keep tennis fans cool this summer.
Celebrating their entry into the Australia market, Häagen-Dazs will tantalise tastebuds at Australia’s largest annual sporting event, bringing ‘The.Ultimate.Tästing.’ experience to Grand Slam Oval at the highly popular Häagen-Dazs House.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with Häagen-Dazs in creating a unique food experience for fans,” said Australian Open Tournament Director, Craig Tiley
“Häagen-Dazs is a big player in the global market and already has a strong tennis connection through relationships with both Roland Garros and Wimbledon. As a new brand in the Australian market, teaming up with one of the biggest global sporting events in the Asia Pacific region makes this a perfect partnership.
Joe Ens, MD General Mills Australasia also commented on the new partnership.
“So far our #HelloAustralia campaign has created great momentum for the brand and we are continuing this by partnering with Australia’s largest summer event – The Australian Open,” said Ens.
“Tennis fans and AO Festival goers will be in for a treat as they can enjoy Häagen-Dazs ice cream and sorbets throughout the event. Once inside the gates, patrons can also enjoy the full Haagen-Dazs experience at the Häagen-Dazs House on Grand Slam Oval. The iconic pop up will be offering an exclusive, unique experience during AO and a delectable selection of their iconic flavours. What better way to enjoy world class tennis by consuming the world’s best ice cream?”
Grand Slam Oval will come to life from day one of Australian Open 2017 and run from 10am until late, each day of the tournament.
